ACSOS 2014

The Institute for Somali Studies launched the Annual Conference on Somali Studies (ACSOS) in April 2014 as a yearly platform where scholars, researchers, practitioners and decision makers share research on Somalia, the Horn of Africa and the Somali diaspora. In the same month, on the Somali National Day of Planting Trees (17 April 2014), ISOS convened an academic conference on "The Deforestation Problem in Somalia: Causes, Consequences, and Solutions".
