Abstract
The study underscores the rising threat of cyberattacks targeting governments, businesses, and individuals, exploiting vulnerabilities for financial or strategic gains. While industrialized nations prioritize cybersecurity, many African countries, including Somalia, face challenges due to limited resources and delayed policies. With increasing digitization, Somalia's critical infrastructure and sensitive data have become targets, highlighting the urgent need for robust cybersecurity measures. The study concludes that cybersecurity awareness in Mogadishu is significant. Factors affecting awareness and its relationship with private and public sectors were also evaluated, showing positive outcomes. Overall, the study highlights the importance of improving cybersecurity awareness across all sectors.
